VALIDITY
These terms apply to all purchases and use of the Hilaac Cosmetics mobile app, operated by Hilaac Beauty. They can be reviewed at any time in-app under Profile → Terms of Use. Variant terms are only accepted for wholesale or affiliate customers by explicit written agreement.
DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
The Hilaac Cosmetics app offers:
- Beauty and skincare products for purchase and delivery.
- Product bundles and promotional sets.
- Wishlist and order-tracking features.
- Wholesale application for eligible business customers.
- Customer support via the in-app Support Centre.
Registration requires a valid phone number (OTP verification), a valid email address, a delivery address, and acceptance of these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy.
ORDERS & PAYMENTS
All orders are subject to product availability — we reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order. Prices are listed in Kenyan Shillings (KES) and may change without prior notice; the price at checkout is the price you pay.
Accepted payment methods: M-Pesa (Safaricom Daraja STK Push), debit/credit card (via Paystack), and Cash on Delivery where available.
Charges: product prices include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Delivery fees are calculated at checkout based on your location — see our Delivery Policy. We do not charge hidden or additional processing fees.
RETURNS & REFUNDS
We accept returns of damaged, defective, or incorrect items within 7 days of delivery. Items must be unused and in their original packaging. Full details are in our Refund Policy.
CUSTOMER USAGE OF SERVICE
You must not misuse the app in any abusive or illegal way that may cause harm, damage, fraud, or offence to Hilaac, the service, or other customers. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account found in violation of these terms — including fraudulent orders, chargeback abuse, or harassment of staff.
- Use the app only for lawful personal or business purchasing purposes.
- Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or distribute any part of the app.
- Do not submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information at registration or checkout.
QUALITY OF PRODUCTS
We are committed to sourcing and delivering authentic, high-quality cosmetics. Product images are for illustration — actual colours and packaging may vary slightly due to photography and screen differences. If a product does not match its description or is of unsatisfactory quality, contact us immediately; we will provide a replacement, refund, or store credit as appropriate.
CUSTOMER PRIVACY
We collect and process customer data after registration, in accordance with our Privacy Policy. All data exchanged with our servers is encrypted using SSL/TLS. We will not share your personal data with third parties except as required to fulfil orders or as described in the Privacy Policy.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All content in the Hilaac app — logo, product images, text, and interface design — is owned by Hilaac Beauty and protected by applicable copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from Hilaac content without prior written permission. User-generated content (such as product reviews) remains the property of the user, but grants Hilaac a non-exclusive licence to display it within the app.
GOVERNING LAW
Use of the Hilaac Cosmetics app is governed in all respects by the laws of Kenya. Users must comply at all times with applicable Kenyan law and international regulations, including consumer protection, data privacy, and electronic commerce.
CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We reserve the right to update these Terms of Use at any time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification. Continued use after the effective date of an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
